- Chritopher Britt: Asinine Quixotisms
- Eduardo Subirats: Is a Critical Hispanism Possible?
- Benita Sampedro: Borders beyond Hispanism
- Fernando Gómez: Anti-Hispanism, larger frames

Danielle Carlo is a postgraduate student at NYU. Christopher Britt is the author of Quixotism: The Imaginative Denial of Spain’s Loss of Empire (State University of New York Press, 2004) and professor of Spanish Literature at the George Washington University. Eduardo Subirats is the author of El continente vacío (1993) and teaches at NYU. Benita Sampedro is professor of modern Spanish literatures at the Hoffstra University. Fernando Gómez is the author of Good Places and Non-Places in Colonial Mexico: The Figure of Vasco de Quiroga (2001) and Academic Research Fellow at Simmons College.

Winner of an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film.

- 2:00 pm. Memoria del Saqueo (2004) – A Social Genocide. Dir. Fernando Pino Solanas. Documentary. (118 minutes). Spanish with English subtitles.

- 4:30 pm. Bolivia (2001). Dir Adrián Caetano. Starring: Freddie Flores, Rosa Sánchez, Enrique Liporace, Héctor Anglada, Oscar Bertea, Alberto Mercado and Marcelo Videla. Drama (75 minutes). Spanish with English subtitles. Credit: Cinema Tropical

- 6:00 pm. Luna de Avellaneda (2004) – Moon of Avellaneda. Dir. Juan José Campanella. Starring: Ricardo Darín, Mercedes Morán, Eduardo Blanco, Valeria Bertuccelli, Silvia Kutika and José López Vázquez. Comedy/Drama (143 minutes). Spanish with English subtitles.

The events take place in the first-floor auditorium of NYU’s King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center.

*The series is part of the program of activities organized in New York on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the last coup of state in Argentina.
